Crypt Guard An intoxicating batch of type O positive tomb rock, aptly named "Out of the Crypt". Rightly so because The Vampyres' music resembles a haunting blood-ritual, complete with all its sinister twists and psychedelic turns. The group's dedication to their craft is apparent as their compositions seep atmosphere through an interwoven tapestry of gloomy organs, haunting string-wails and speeding sections of euphoria. Topped off by a fetching vocal performance.

Lute FP Synth-driven gothic rock at face value. The first two songs are the best, a good example of the sound these guys can produce, tho they are long and might benefit from a little trimming. The remaining songs take on a little more of an indie rock/punk vibe. Overall the music is fairly straightforward, coming across as mellow and driving. But those vocals steal the show...

Something along the lines of Bowie or Dax Riggs, the vocals ooze style and emotion, are an instrument in their own right.
